It is with sadness that we report the passing of Derek Bell aged 91 years a Life Member of the the English Bowls Coaching Association, on 23rd September 2020.
Derek was an advanced coach with the Society and held numerous positions on the Management Committee of the English Bowls Coaching Scheme, including that of Director of Coaching. He was responsible for the making of many of the Coaching Videos. At one stage he was very proactive with the scheme, travelling the length and breadth of the country, coaching, giving lectures and promoting Bowls Coaching. He was a member of Hartlepool IBC & EIBA Singles Champsion 1979/80 as well as England International in early 1980s
Our sympathies are with his wife Shirley (who often accompanied Derek and assisted with the Coaching) and his family.
The Funeral will take place at the Stranton Crematorium, Hartlepool on Wednesday 7th October 2020 at 13.30pm. Due to the covid restrictions numbers are limited but friends can form a line up outside of the crematorium.
