For those interested, UK Coaching (formerly SportsCoachUK) is good source of background material, resource library and ideas to improve your coaching through articles, guides, podcasts, webinars, videos etc.
Any Coach can join as a Bronze member for the sum of about £24 annually and you receive a A5 sized newsletter several times a year. Joining also gives you access to all sorts of on-line material (you can log on and create your own account) to assist you. It also gives you a 20% discount on any UK Coaching Courses on a variety of topics and areas of interest (courses can be found under Courses heading). There are both on-line courses and courses arranged for Sports Coaches throughout the country.
Included in the range of courses available are courses on Safeguarding for Children and more recently an on-line course have been set up with the assistance of the Ann Craft Trust for Adults at Risk etc
The latter course is entitled Safeguarding Adults - this is an on-line course - cost £16.99 inc VAT, though UK Coaching Subscribers can enjoy a 20% discount
